Annual Summer Camp Sign-Ups Available

The Children’s Museum of Northeast Montana is hosting their annual summer camp program this year throughout the month of June. There will be four different camps, with each camp lasting a week. The sessions start at 9 a.m. and end at noon. This year’s programs is being sponsored by Boeing/Montana Aviation Research Co.

The first camp session, “Spiders, Insects and Snakes...Oh My!” will be held June 5 through 9. Children will learn about the different species and marks of snakes and the importance of honey bees through several hands-on projects.

The second session, “Creation Station,” will be held June 12 through 16. Campers will create works of art and build structures as well as cooking creative goodies for their daily snacks.

The third camp session, “Mad Scientists,” will be held June 19 through 23. Children will learn all about explosions and making fizzy solutions and various concoctions.

The fourth session, “Down on the Farm,” will be held June 26 through 30. Campers will participate in making their own butter and flour, identifying seeds, participating in cattle branding projects and other activities.

The camp projects are for children ages 7 to 12. The cost to attend is $25 per week per child for museum members and $30 per week per child for non-museum members. The cost covers all supplies and a snack, which will be provided each day for the campers. Children are welcome to sign up for more than one camp program for the month.
