Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Casper Martin "Cap" Czyzeski

Casper Martin "Cap" Czyzeski was born Oct. 28, 1930, in Glasgow, Mont., to parents Peter and Victoria Czyzeski. He grew up in the Glasgow area and lived there until age 56. He married Patsy Jennings in 1949, and together they raised five children.

He owned and operated a residential and commercial contracting business, Cap's Painting, starting at the Opheim Air Force Base, and later to the Glasgow Air Force Base, as the base was being developed in the 60s. He was dubbed in the community of Glasgow to be the "the fastest brush in town."

Together, he and his wife, Pat, owned and operated the Rustic Lodge along Highway 2 from 1963 to 1972, and The Heritage Apartments and Daughters 4 dress shop until the 80s.

In January 1987, Cap's Painting relocated to Lake Havasu City, Ariz., where he and his son, Joe, established a partnership.

He retired from painting in 1998 and transitioned to semi-retirement by operating Cap's Vending until 2010. Living in a community of "snowbirds," he cared for residents' homes while they were away for the summer months.

Until September 2016, he lived independently. Several health-related issues evidenced a need for assisted living. He suffered from COPD and severe degenerative arthritis. He resided at Prestige and Gems assisted living facilities in Lake Havasu City until an accidental fall took his life of 86 years on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patsy, in 1999; one sister, Dorothy Egosque; one daughter, Lori Murphy; and an infant son.

Survivors include one sister, Judy Miller, of Glasgow; one son, Joe, and his wife, Erika, of Lake Havasu City; three daughters, Sandra Adamson and her husband, Bob, of Castle Rock, Colo., Toni Hope and her husband, Jim, of Butte, and Angela Kiefer and her husband, Brian, of Corning, Calif .; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family will plan a Celebration of Life in October in Lake Havasu City. Burial will be in the family cemetery plot in Glasgow. Thoughts and condolences can be sent to the family at http://www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com. Memorials may be sent to any hospice care facility or the charity of one's choice.
