Scottie Golfers Split Titles at Glasgow, Plentywood Invites

The Scottie golfers hosted their home meet at Sunnyside Golf Course on April 28, then traveled to Plentywood April 29 for a second day of competition.

The Scottie boys grabbed the title for their own meet with a score of 357. Blaine Myrick led his team to the win with an 83, followed by Ike Braaten in fourth with an 89. Oden Hallock finished sixth with a 90, followed by Kaden Fossum, 95, and Cody Ross, 97.

The Lady Scotties finished second overall with a 444. Lexi Pehlke finished in second place for her team with a 94, followed by Heidi Moon in seventh with a 109. Also competing were Taylor Palm, who finished with a 119 and Fallon Larson with a 122.

At the meet in Plentywood on Saturday, placings were reversed with the girls taking the top spot with 431, and the boys grabbing second place with 374. Leading the girls to the win for the second meet in a row was Pehlke with her final score of 105. Palm moved up on the scorecard with her eighth-place 107, followed by Larson with a 109 for tenth, and Moon with a 110.

Hallock finished in a tie for fourth and fifth with his team's best score of 87. Myrick and Fossum both finished with a 94, while Braaten and Ross both recorded a 99.

For the JV boys in Plentywood, Cale Swanson out-shot everyone with his 92, followed by Britt Fairclough with a 105 for third place. Max Carpenter and Jordan Billingsley shared fifth place with a 113, just ahead of Donny Brabeck who finished with a 115.

The Scottie golf team will travel west to Harlem on Friday, May 5, then to Chinook on Saturday, May 6.
