Court Brief

According to the County Attorney Dylan Jensen March 20, was “a good day” in Court before the recently appointed District Judge Yvonne Laird.

Judge Laird sentenced Andrea Gardner for two counts of distribution of morphine to two concurrent sentences of three years, one deferred and one suspended. Gardner was charged following a joint Drug Enforcement Agency and Valley County Sheriff’s Office sting operation resulting in Gardner being charged with four separate sales of morphine to undercover agents.

Also sentenced was Tisha Reddog for one count criminal possession of dangerous drugs for methamphetamine, and a misdemeanor count for drug paraphernalia. Judge Laird handed down a three-year suspended sentence to Reddog, who was also recently sentenced for drug charge in Roosevelt County.

Wolf Point resident, Darrel Corpron, also received a sentence of three years differed with an order to pay fines for possession of dangerous drugs for methamphetamine and paraphernalia. According to Jensen, Corpron has pending drug distribution charges in Tribal Court as well.

Also occurring, Adam Kelly plead guilty to one count felony theft for stealing Jim and Lois McIntyre’s pickup from their garage. He also plead guilty to misdemeanor theft for stealing two of their firearms. Kelly had stolen the truck and fled Valley County, stole a second truck in Garfield County and was ultimately arrested in Musselshell County with the firearms still in his possession, according to Jensen. Musselshell is still prosecuting for the crimes committed in relation to the charges filed in Valley County. Kelly is also currently under suspicion for a string of burglaries that occurred last fall although charges in that case have not yet been filed, according to Jensen.

Joseph Bray, a Kallispell man, also made his initial appearance in court for charges of possession of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, driving under the influence of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
