The annual Hi-Line Skating Showcase was held March 4 at the Valley Event Center. This year's theme was "Holidays on Ice" and featured a mixture of solo skates, duets, and group performances.

Beginning and ending with group presentations, the afternoon was a recital of skills learned by the program's students. It was an impressive display, punctuated by moments of, "Awwww, that was adorable."

The event and the performances were well-executed, with several of the skaters performing programs that they choreographed themselves.

Arguably, the highlight of the afternoon was a short program performed by the 2015 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships gold medalist Avery Bandel. Bandel has been traveling to Glasgow from Great Falls to assist with the Hi-Line Skating Program for several years and is a frequent performer at the event.
