11th Annual Skate Showcase Slated

The 11th annual Hi-Line Skating Showcase will be held at the Valley Event Center this Saturday, Mar. 4. The event will begin at 2 p.m., and is free of charge.

Each year, student skaters show off their skills and perform for the community in the event. This year, 33 skaters, ages 3-16, will perform in the "Holidays on Ice" showcase.

There will also be a guest performance by Avery Bandel, one of the skating coaches for the Hi-Line Skating program. Bandel, who lives in Great Falls, is the 2015 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships national champion.

In addition, audience members will have the opportunity to skate with the stars of the show following the performance.
