Man Faces Felony Charges after Confrontation on South Side

On Dec. 27, 911 dispatch received a call about a situation on the south side of Glasgow around 1 a.m., where reports stated there was a confrontation at a residence.

At the residence the suspect, Larry Gilbert, confronted a young adult male and threatened him with an assault rifle. An adult female, also at the residence, was threatened and physically assaulted with the rifle. Gilbert then began to drag the woman with his vehicle, at which time the young adult male fired shots at the vehicle, until the female was freed.

After fleeing the residence, Gilbert was apprehended near the Courthouse where during the arrest, police discovered a concealed weapon present on him.

Gilbert is currently facing several felony charges including felony criminal endangerment, two counts of felony intimidation, two counts of felony assault with a weapon and a partner family member assault. The County has also charged him with carrying a concealed weapon. Gilbert is currently being held at the Valley County jail on a $250,000 bond.
