Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Truels Jensen Jr.

Truels Jensen Jr., 85, of Opheim, Mont., left us to join our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Dec 13, 2016. Services will be announced at a later date.

He was born on Sept 14, 1931, in Plentywood, Mont., to Truels and Christina Jensen. He married Angline Selenski on May 9, 1959, in Plentywood, and they started their lives there prior to moving to Opheim in 1968.

He was a devoted husband, father and a true friend. He managed the Farmers Union Grain in Opheim for over 25 years and worked hard and was very meticulous about his work. He was also the mayor of Opheim for several years.

One of his favorite passions was golf. He established a small golf course in Opheim, which opened the doors for years of fun and community bonding. It was named after him, the "Truels Country Club."

He will be missed by all that knew him. He had such a wonderful sense of humor.

Survivors include four sons, John, Jeff, Mark and Brian; one sister, Josie Nash; five grandchildren, Corey, Olivia, Jessica, Jordyn and Jillian; and one great-grandchild, Isaac.
