Crosby Bests 14U and 19U Girls

The 14U and 19U Lady Ice Dawgs traveled to Crosby for games on Dec. 3.

The 14U girls put forth a great effort against a tough team. Despite some scoring chances, the girls were unable to hit the back of the net during the game and lost to the Comets 4-0.

It was a competitive game, with the score just 1-0 after the first two periods. According to head coach Paul Provencher, Crosby was able to capitalize on some miscues by the Dawgs in the third period and pulled out the win with three more goals.

The 19U girls met a similar fate in their game against the Comets. Despite out-shooting their opponent 2-1, the Lady Ice Dawgs fell to Crosby 1-2. According to head coach Ken Schmidt, the girls were unable to penetrate the wall created by Crosby's 6' 1” goalie. Rhoda Peterson knocked in the lone goal for the girls, unassisted. Kassie Moore recorded 18 saves in the net for Glasgow.

Charged with penalties during the game were Baylie Chappell (interference) and Emily Kolstad (tripping.)

The 14U girls will host Miles City and Havre at the Valley Event Center Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10, while the 19U girls get the weekend off from competition.
