SATURDAY – NOV. 5

12 Noon - The NE Montana Land and Mineral Owners Assoc. 42nd Annual Meeting will begin at 1 p.m. in the Community Center in Froid.

SUNDAY – NOV. 6

2 p.m. - Pinochle every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. Everyone welcome.

MONDAY – NOV. 7

7 p.m. - Heirloom Quilters Guild to meet at the Glasgow Senior Citizens’ Center.

TUESDAY – NOV. 8

4-7 p.m. - Chili Cookoff at the Mint Bar in Opheim. Bring a pot of chili for the cookoff, or just bring your appetite. Donations go to the Opheim Volunteer Fire Dept.

WEDNESDAY – NOV. 9

1-4 p.m. - Service officers for the Montana Veterans Affairs will be visiting Glasgow VA Clinic and on Thursday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Malta City Hall. Bring a copy of your discharge paperwork DD214 with you. Veteran service officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only. Call 406-265-4225 if you are interested.

THURSDAY – NOV. 10

3 p.m. - The Valley County Transit Board meets at the Valley County Transit office (use the back door/east entrance).

SATURDAY – NOV. 12

HiLine Youth Hockey Assoc. invites boys and girls to the Valley Event Center for a “Try Hockey For Free” clinic as part of “Come Play Hockey Month,” starting at 3 p.m., with a pizza party to follow at 5:30 p.m. Local youth ages 4 to 9 are encouraged to experience ice hockey for the first time and learn the basic skills in a fun, safe environment. 11 a.m. - The Opheim Community Church Harvest Celebration with special music, a guest speaker and will be followed by a potluck dinner. Everyone is invited.

TUESDAY – NOV. 15

12-1 p.m. - Valley County Mental Health Local Advisory Council meets at FMDH South Conference Room (old Board Room). Anyone concerned about mental health in Glasgow should attend.

12-4 p.m. - Valley County Food Bank, serving only Valley County residents, located at 1020 1st Ave. N. is open the third Tuesday of every month. First-timers bring a photo ID and proof of physical residence. More info., Nancy Bowman at 263-1253.

FRIDAY – NOV. 18

MSU Extension Agent Roubie Younkin will offer the four-hour Food Handlers ServSafe Training. Times will be arranged to fit the schedules of those planning to attend. Preregistration is required by Nov. 7, so books may be ordered to accommodate all students. There will be a $15 charge to cover the books and class supplies. Please contact the Valley County Extension Office at 228-6241 for more information and to preregister for the class.

SATURDAY – NOV. 19

9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. - AAUW Fall Bazaar at the Glasgow Civic Center and Soroptimist Trunk of Treasures Raffle. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Winning tickets will be drawn at the Bazaar. Table rental $30. More info, Roberta Barstad 228-2747.

1:30 p.m. - The third Sunday of each month is a Social at the Nashua Senior Center. Those attending are asked to bring snacks.

2 p.m. - Pinochle every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. Everyone welcome.

THURSDAY – NOV. 24

Noon to 2 p.m. - The 26th Annual Valley County Thanksgiving Day Dinner at the Glasgow Senior Citizens Center located at 328 4th Street South. Serving will take place from noon until 2 p.m. The meal is free of charge and all ages are welcome. There will be no carry-out or deliveries available.
