Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Lang and Laslovich Speak with Voters

Mike Lang and candidate for State Auditor Jesse Laslovich visited with voters on Oct. 24 at Farm Equipment Sales in Glasgow. The candidates may represent different parties (Lang is a Republican and Laslovich is a Democrat), but the two shared common ground on several issues on Monday night. To help improve the economy in eastern Montana, they agree that Montana's resources, including coal, should be harvested.

Laslovich is running for State Auditor, a position which watches over insurance companies and securities. Laslovich served as Chief Legal Counsel in the State Auditors Office for the past five years. He stated that he believes our public lands belong in public hands, and he pledged to protect them from out of state special interests.

Lang spoke to the Courier about his political experience, stating, "I want to be the voice for northeast Montana in Helena." He added that he serves on committees for economic affairs, business and labor, agriculture, and energy, all of which give him a good perspective regarding what eastern Montana really needs.

The event was sponsored by Sarah Partridge of Farm Equipment Sale, Josh Partridge of BNSF, and Stan Ozark of KLTZ.
