THURSDAY – OCT. 27

5-6 p.m. The 2nd Annual Haunted Hayride at the Valley County Fairgrounds that is not so scary, and from 6-8 p.m., the haunted hayride for the not-weak-of-heart or -bladder. Cost is $1 per body (proceeds to benefit the Northeast Montana Children’s Museum.

SATURDAY – OCT. 29

10 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Nashua Lions Club Fall Bazaar and Craft Show at the Nashua Civic Center. Lunch will be available at the Senior Citizens’ Center. - soup, a dinner roll, dessert and drink for $6. 5 p.m. - A Barbecue Cookoff at Vick’s Bar in Nashua as well as a contest for the best side dish.

SUNDAY – OCT. 30

There will be a potluck dinner following the 11 a.m. service at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Nashua.

MONDAY – OCT. 31

Treat Street will take place in downtown Glasgodw on Halloween Night until 12 p.m. There will be spooktacular sales, tricks and treats, drink specials and freaky fun in downtown Glasgow.

4 p.m. - The Opheim Northern Lites 4-H Club Halloween Party at OHS. A meal will be served at 4 p.m., followed by a Costume Contest, a Pumpkin Carving Contest and a Cake Walk. Everyone is invited.

TUESDAY – NOV. 1

6:30 p.m. - The Nashua Lions meet on the first Tuesday of each month at the Nashua Senior Citizens’ Center. New members are always welcome.

SATURDAY – NOV. 5

12 Noon - The NE Montana Land and Mineral Owners Assoc. will hold the 42nd Annual Meeting for the members at noon and the meeting will begin at 1 p.m. An election will be held for two directors’ seats held by Roger Nelson and Dick Iversen. Anyone with oil- or gas-related questions is encouraged to attend. The meeting is open to the public.


SUNDAY – NOV. 6

2 p.m. - Pinochle every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. Everyone welcome.

TUESDAY – NOV. 8

4-7 p.m. - Chili Cookoff at the Mint Bar in Opheim. Bring a pot of chili for the cookoff, or just bring your appetite. Donations go to the Opheim Volunteer Fire Dept.

WEDNESDAY – NOV. 9

1-4 p.m. - Service officers for the Montana Veterans Affairs will be visiting Glasgow VA Clinic and on Thursday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Malta City Hall. Bring a copy of your discharge paperwork DD214 with you. Veteran service officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only. Call 406-265-4225 if you are interested.

3 p.m. - The Valley County Transit Board meets at the Valley County Transit office (use the back door/east entrance).

SATURDAY – NOV. 12

HiLine Youth Hockey Assoc. invites boys and girls to the Valley Event Center for a “Try Hockey For Free” clinic as part of “Come Play Hockey Month,” starting at 3 p.m., with a pizza party to follow at 5:30 p.m. Local youth ages 4 to 9 are encouraged to experience ice hockey for the first time and learn the basic skills in a fun, safe environment. AAUW Fall Bazaar at the Glasgow Civic Center and Soroptimist Trunk of Treasures Raffle. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Winning tickets will be drawn at the Bazaar.

SUNDAY – NOV. 20

1:30 p.m. - The third Sunday of each month is a Social at the Nashua Senior Center. Those attending are asked to bring snacks.
