North Country Falls to Scobey

The North Country Lady Mavericks were defeated by the Scobey Lady Spartans (25-16, 25-21, 25-20) in three home games held Sept. 24.

Statistically, the teams were comparable for the evening, except in digs. The Lady Spartans recorded 34 compared to the Ladys Mavericks' 14. Almost half of those digs were achieved by senior Kayleigh Cummings, who finished the night with six total digs.

Mickayla Johnson led the team in kills and also contributed one block. Jada Sudbrack had one block as well, and served up four aces.

Junior Bailey Funk finished with four aces, and Casity Boucher racked up 12 assists.

Team totals: 11 kills, two blocks, 12 aces, 14 digs, 13 assists.

The Lady Mavericks will face Malta in Whitewater Friday, Sept. 30.
