Law Enforcement Reminder

With the area’s school year starting, local law enforcement would like to remind everyone to be extra cautious. Make sure that when driving to keep a watch for pedestrians. Children walking to school should take their time and not rush, making sure they are careful crossing streets and keeping an eye out for motorists.

Students driving need to also be extra cautious, make sure that they have time to get to school without rushing and keep watch for other students and pedestrians also. Both the sheriff and local police department will also be ramping up patrols in anticipation of the Labor Day weekend, with the objective of reducing impaired drivers on the road as well discourage underage drinking.
