Fort Peck Sailing Club Mobile Optimist Sailing School.

THURSDAY – AUG. 18

1-4 p.m. - Anniversary Open House at Hi-Line Home Programs, 605 3rd Ave. S. Come and meet the staff and learn more about our programs.

4-7 p.m. - Beginning band instrument display in the middle school music room for any students beginning 6th grade band in the fall. There will be a representative from Eckroth Music to sell/rent instruments, as well as answer any questions.

7 p.m. - The American Legion and Auxiliary will meet at the VFW in Glasgow. The Agenda will be the District Convention in September. All veterans and auxiliary members welcome.

FRIDAY – AUG. 19

Nashua congregate meals are being served on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12 noon. Call the center at 746-3370 for more information.

Explore Rock Creek at Hinsdale. The extensive exposures of sandstone provide outstanding scenery as you hike through the canyons. The outing is free and open to the public, but participants must first register. The schedule is now available online at http://www.wildmontana.org/walks. AUG. 19-20

There will be a Kids’ Crusade, “The Force Awakens” at the Assembly of God Church in Glasgow for kids ages K-fifth grade. Children under kindergarten must be accompanied by an adult. The Friday night session runs from 5:30 – 8 p.m., and begins with supper and registration starting at 5:30 p.m. Supper will be provided. Saturday, the crusade begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m., with lunch being provided.

Can-Am Sailing Regatta at Fort Peck Lake.

7:30 p.m. - “The Woman in Black” at Fort Peck Summer Theatre. Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. More info, 406-526-9943 Wednesday through Sunday from 12-4 p.m.

SATURDAY – AUG. 20

A real prairie wilderness experience at Bitter Creek in this Wilderness Walk. See teepee rings and other historic artifacts. The outing is free and open to the public, but participants must first register. The schedule is now available online at http://www.wildmontana.org/walks. 9 a.m. - 2016 Paint Run/Walk. This untimed 2.5-mile run/walk starts at the Glasgow Civic Center. Entry forms are available at BS Central, D&G, First Community Bank, all Glasgow Ezzie’s locations, Flip Burgers & Treats, Glasgow Courier, Glasgow Chamber office, Glasgow Rec. Dept., Holiday Stores and the Taco Shack.

SUNDAY – AUG. 21

1:30 p.m. - The third Sunday of each month is a social at the Nashua Senior Center. Those attending are asked to bring snacks.

1:30 p.m. - A party to thank the many community volunteers who assisted with preparing and serving food and cleanup at the Senior Center in Nashua.

2 p.m. - Pinochle every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. Everyone welcome.

3 p.m. - Annual Opheim Potluck Picnic in Billings at North Park Shelter #1, 6th Ave. North at 21st Street. Plates, utensils and iced tea will be provided. Bring your favorite dish and drink to share.

AUG. 22-26

Beginning band lessons will be held in the middle school music room. Here is the following schedule: Flutes 9-10 a.m .; Clarinets 10-11 a.m .; Saxophones 11 a.m. - 12 noon; Trumpets/French horns 1-2 p.m .; Trombones/Baritones/Tubas 2-3 p.m .; Percussion 3-4 p.m. The lesson schedule on Wednesday, Aug. 24, will be “to be determined,” as there is a middle school open house on that day.

WEDNESDAY – AUG. 24

2-5:30 p.m. - The Valley County Health Department is holding a “Back-to-School Clinic” at the Health Department at 501 Court Square #11, Glasgow. Immunizations given every Monday from 2-2:45 p.m.

THURSDAY – AUG. 25

1:30-6 p.m. - Opheim Blood Drive at the Ambulance Barn.
