WEDNESDAY – THURSDAY

JULY 13-14

Service officers for the MT Veterans Affairs will be at the Glasgow VA Clinic from 1-4 p.m. on July 13 and in Malta on July 14 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Malta City Hall. Bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214). Officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only at 406-265-4225.

This is the deadline to report your 2015 production for those producers signed up in the ARC/IC program

Daniels and Valley County MSU Extension offices and Weed Districts are offering a free weed tour to talk about weed control. There will be guest speakers. Please contact the Extension offices for more information at 406-228-6241 or 406-487-2861.

Wilderness Walk to a Sand Arroyo at Fort Peck. Local expert Doug Smith will co-lead the group and talk about geologic history of the area. Explore Burnt Lodge Wilderness Study Area hike near Glasgow. The outing is free and open to the public, but participants must first register. The hike is rated moderately strenuous.

1:30 p.m. - The third Sunday of each month is a social at the Nashua Senior Center. Those attending are asked to bring snacks.

6-8 p.m. - Free workshop at the Valley County Courthouse on entering and exhibiting horticultural and gardening projects in the NE Montana Fair

TUESDAY – JULY 19

12 Noon - The Fort Peck Senior Citizens’ quarterly potluck and meeting at the Fish Hatchery. All are welcome.

7 p.m. - Gumbo Gals Garden Club hosts “Heirloom Gardening in Montana” workshop at the Fort Peck Interpretive Center.

9 a.m. - Annual Wheat Plot tour at the Courthouse. Several fields will be visited. Lunch will be provided at Will and Peggy Lauckner’s home and door prizes will be given.

2 p.m. - “On Your Mark, Get Set Party!” for the Summer Reading Program for all ages at the Glasgow City-County Library.

9 a.m. - The untimed 2.5-mile run/walk starting at the Glasgow Civic Center. Entry forms are available at BS Central, D&G, First Community Bank, all Glasgow Ezzie’s locations, Flip Burgers & Treats, Glasgow Courier, Glasgow Chamber office, Glasgow Rec. Dept., Holiday Stores and the Taco Shack.
