Calendar of Upcoming Events in the Area

THURSDAY – JUNE 2

7 p.m. - Global Market and Local Agricultural Trends presented by Don Fast at the Pioneer Museum in Glasgow.

Around 9 p.m. – There will be a summer movie night, “Sandlot,” on the GHS football field. Cost is $2 per person. Concessions will be open. No carry-in beverages and/or food will be allowed in. Bring a blanket to sit on. If you bring chairs, you will have to sit towards the back. Sponsored by the GHS Annual group.

FRIDAY – JUNE 3

SATURDAY – JUNE 4

9 a.m. - 1 p.m. - St. Marie will have their annual Community Yard Sales around town. Watch for balloons. The St. Marie Women’s Club will also have a Bake Sale (hot dogs for lunch) on the same day at 220-C Spruce in St. Marie, with the proceeds supporting our Troops Project. Thrivent Financial will provide supplemental funds.

9 a.m. - 2 p.m. - ALA Rummage Sale at the Glasgow Senior Citizens’ Center.

10-11 a.m. - Vaccine Clinic at the Glasgow Fire Hall. Call Valley Veterinary Clinic at 228-2437 or 228-9313 for more information.

2 p.m. - Pinochle every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. Everyone welcome.

MONDAY – JUNE 6

9 a.m. - The Fort Peck Senior Citizens’ highway clean-up. Meet at the Fish Hatchery.

9 a.m. - 4 p.m. - MSU Extension offers a babysitting course for youth ages 12 and older, in the Community Room of the Valley County Courthouse. Lunch will be provided. Please pre registerwith the Valley County Extension Office at 228-6241. There is a $10 fee to cover supplies, snacks and lunch.

6 p.m. - Heirloom Quilters’ Spring Fling at the Glasgow Senior Citizens’ Center. Bring a dish to share and your ugly fabric project.

The FMDH Foundation Open Golf Tournament at the Sunnyside Golf and Country Club in Glasgow. All entry fees and registrations must be received in the Foundation office by June 10. Registration forms can be picked up at the FMDH Office or contact Mary Kate Tihista at 228-3614.

3 p.m. - Nashua All-School Reunion Parade. Registration will be Friday, July 8, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, July 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A drawing will be held on Sunday, July 10, at the picnic.

A Porcupine Color Run to help raise money for the playground. Registration is either online at http://www.eventbrite.com/e/porcupine-color-run-tickets-25573413769 or day of event at the school. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the run/walk starts at 9:30.

SATURDAY – JULY 16

Wilderness Walk to a Sand Arroyo at Fort Peck. Local expert Doug Smith will co-lead the group and talk about geologic history of the area. Explore Burnt Lodge Wilderness Study Area hike near Glasgow. The outing is free and open to the public, but participants must first register.
