THURSDAY, MAY 12

3 p.m. - The Valley County Transit Board will meet at the Valley County Transit office (use the back door/east entrance).

6 p.m. - Awards Night at the Opheim School Gym.

SATURDAY – MAY 14

9-11 a.m. - A No-Till Garden Demonstration located in the alley of 315 5th Ave. S (Keeta’s Soft Touch). Hinsdale FFA instructor Patti Armbrister will give tips for gardening in this area and demonstrate how to set up a drip irrigation. Cost is $10 or $15 for a family. TUESDAY, MAY 17

Noon - The Fort Peck Senior Citizens’ regular monthly potluck at the Fish Hatchery. All seniors are welcome. Plans for spring clean-up will be discussed.

6 p.m. - Spring Music Concert and the Academic Fair in the Opheim High School Gym.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 18

1-4 p.m. - Service officers for the MT Veterans Affairs will meet with veterans who are interested in applying for benefits. Bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214) with you. Service officers will also be in Malta on Thursday, May 19, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at the Malta City Hall. Veteran service officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only. Call 406-265-4225 if you are interested.

3 p.m. - Nashua All-School Reunion Parade. Registration will be Friday, July 8, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, July 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A drawing will be held on Sunday, July 10, at the picnic.

Wilderness Walk to a Sand Arroyo at Fort Peck. Local expert Doug Smith will co-lead the group and talk about geologic history of the area.
