Head Start Now Enrolling Students for 2016-2017 School Year

No Tuition, No Fees for Pre-School Program

Action for Eastern Montana’s Head Start program in Glasgow is a comprehensive child development pre-school program serving children ages 3-4 and their families. The program is designed to increase school readiness and develop a child’s potential to the fullest.

Children enjoy a creative learning experience while getting ready for kindergarten. Your 3-4-year-old will discover art and music, join in “hands-on” activities, develop fine and gross motor skills, explore reading, writing and math and make friends.

The school program runs five days a week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and provides a healthy breakfast and lunch each school day under the guidelines of the state’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

To enroll in the program, children must be 3 or 4 years of age by Sept. 9, and meet income eligibility guidelines.

The program can enroll 10 percent of the children that exceed the income guidelines if slots are available. Ten percent of the slots are also made available for children with disabilities.

While eligibility is based on income guidelines, families that receive certain benefits and circumstances are eligible as well.

If you are interested in applying, applications can be picked up and returned to Glasgow Head Start, 839 1st Avenue So., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., or call 228-2404 with any questions.

Enrollment is limited.
