Suzanne C. Brenna

Suzanne C. (Townsend) Brenna, 69, of Glasgow, Mont., passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital with family by her side.

A celebration of her life was held Friday, Jan. 15, at the Bell Mortuary with Pastor Dan Dale officiating, followed by a reception at the mortuary. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

She was born in Clare, Mich., to Charles and Maxine (Hawkins) Townsend on Dec. 6, 1946. She received her early education at various schools around the world, as her family was transferred with the United States Air Force. Her family moved on and she decided to make Glasgow her permanent home.

She married Leo Schakosky in 1965 and they had three children. They later divorced in 1977.

She and Darrell Brenna were married April 16, 1983, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, in Glasgow. The couple resided in Glasgow.

She enjoyed gardening, had a soft spot for animals; especially birds, and had a passion for art. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always in her thoughts and prayers, she had a special love for them. She had a lot of pride in them and their accomplishments.

She was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Jim Townsend.

Survivors include her husband, Darrell Brenna; children, Brenda Wright and her husband, James, Derrick Schakosky and his wife, Tammy, and Jessica Runningen and her husband, Scott; step-children, Daria Brenna, Marlys Hopkins and her husband, Larry, Tom Brenna and his wife, Bridget, and Theresa McDonald; one sister, Linda Hutcheson; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
