Calendar of Upcoming Events in the Area



1-4 p.m. - Service officers for the Montana Veterans Affairs will be visiting in Glasgow at the VA Clinic. If you are interested in applying for benefits, bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214) with you. Veteran service officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only. Call 406-265-4225.


12-2 p.m. - A benefit spaghetti dinner for Jo Dorsey to help with her medical expenses. There will also be a silent auction and bidding on a painting donated by David and Jane Allen.

2 p.m. - Cards played at the Nashua Senior Center. There will also be dominoes and other games. Everyone is welcome to attend.

2 p.m. - Pinochle every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. Everyone welcome.

5 p.m. - Opheim School Board meeting at OHS.


JAN. 18 & 25 – APRIL 11

7-8 p.m. - GriefShare weekly seminar and support group to help you rebuild your life to give help and encouragement after the death of a loved one at the Glasgow Evangelical Church, 152 Aberdeen St. in Glasgow. 12 noon - The Fort Peck Senior Citizens' quarterly meeting and potluck at the Fish Hatchery. John will be making his famous turkey noodle soup. Bring your soup bowl and complementary potluck items.

12-4 p.m. - Valley County Food Bank, serving only Valley County residents, located at 1020 1st Ave. N. is open the third Tuesday of every month. First-timers bring a photo ID and proof of physical residence. More info., Nancy Bowman at 263-1253.

5:30-6:30 p.m. - Tech Night at the Glasgow City-County Library hosted by Brian Gregory.


11 a.m. - 6 p.m. - Upcoming blood donation opportunity in Wolf Point at the First Lutheran Church, 415 Johnson St.
