3 p.m. - Valley County Transit Board meets at the Valley County Transit office. Use the back door/east entrance.

7 p.m. - The Glasgow Evangelical Church will be having two classes on Surviving the Holidays – the material presented at each will be the same. The second class is Thursday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. Anyone is welcome to attend.

FRIDAY – NOV. 13

5-8 p.m. - Northwest Farm Credit Services are having a Going Away party for Tom and Liz Schmitt at Sunnyside Country Club.

5:30 p.m. - The 13th Annual Milk River Inc.'s Fundraiser Dinner and Auction at the Cottonwood Inn. Social and viewing of auction items for the live and silent auctions begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner and live auction to follow at 6:30 p.m. To purchase tickets or for more invo, 228-8412.

MONDAY – NOV. 16

Fort Peck Fine Arts will draw for a great trip for two the first Wednesday of every month in 2016 and have an early bird drawing Dec. 2 for $1,000. Tickets are $200 each. Purchase tickets at Ft. Peck Fine Arts office on 2nd Ave. S, or at the KLTZ/KLAN studios.

6 p.m. - A parents meeting for prospective basketball players, grades 9-12 in Room 1 at GHS.

TUESDAY – NOV. 17

12 noon - The Fort Peck Senior Citizens annual turkey dinner at the Fish Hatchery. Come enjoy! Turkey, dressing, potatoes and gravy will be provided—bring other complementary potluck items.

12-4 p.m. - Valley County Food Bank, serving only Valley County residents, located at 1020 1st Ave. N. is open the third Tuesday of every month. First-timers bring a photo ID and proof of physical residence. More info., Nancy Bowman at 263-1253.

Service officers for the MT Veterans Affairs will be in Glasgow to meet with those interested in applying for benefits, at the VA Clinic from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, and in Malta on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at the Malta Phillips County Hospital Conference Room. If you are interested, bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214) with you. The officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only. Call l 406-265-4225.

11th Annual Festival of Trees for NE MT Relay For Life at Glasgow Elk's Club. Nov. 20, Prime Rib Dinner at 6 p.m., followed by live auction of trees, wreaths and centerpieces. 4 p.m. - The community is invited to the Lighting Ceremony for the Remembrance Trees in front of the Pioneer Museum. Refreshments will be served. The tree will be lit daily from Nov. 29 to Dec. 31. To include your loved ones on the tree for a $5 donation, contact any GHS Student Council member or adviser, or the high school office at 228-2485 by Nov. 27.

THANKSGIVING DAY

12 noon – 2 p.m. - The 25th annual Valley County Thanksgiving Day Dinner at the Glasgow Senior Citizens Center located at 328 4th Street South. The meal is free and open to everyone. There will be no carryout or deliveries available. For more info., call Ruth Ann Hutcheson at 228-8392.

12 Noon - Santa Claus arrives and will visit: Shopko 12:15 p.m., Prairie Ridge 12:45 p.m .; Nemont Manor 1:15 p.m .; Valley View Home 1:45 p.m .; and Pehlke's Furniture 2:30-4:30 p.m.

12-6:30 p.m. - Parade of Lights in downtown Glasgow.

1-2:30 p.m. - Free movie “Annie” at Valley Cinemas.
