Homecoming in Nashua

Saturday was a perfect Fall day for a Homecoming parade, bazaar, a hot bowl of soup, and the last home volleyball game in Nashua.

A pink convertible in which were seated Nashua Homecoming King Joe Dunning and Homecoming Queen Emily Skyberg was preceded by the Nashua School Band. Though the parade was short enthusiasm generated by it was not.

Once the parade was over, onlookers flocked to the Nashua Civic Center to do some early Christmas gift shopping at the Nashua Lions Club Fall Bazaar and Craft Show. Shoppers were treated to 34 tables rented by vendors who had items ranging from homemade pies and breads along with other pastries to handmade merchandise such as wood carvings, leatherwork, jewelry, knitted and crocheted blankets and scarves, and greeting cards.

At 2:30 p.m., Brady Dale's name was drawn for the raffle. Dale took home the $3,235 prize.

Evening brought the last home volleyball game and senior night for the Nashua Porcupines.
