7-8:15 p.m. - GriefShare weekly seminar and support group designed to help rebuild your life after the death of a loved one at the Glasgow Evangelical Church located at 152 Aberdeen St.

THURSDAY--OCT. 29

5 p.m. -- First annual Haunted Hayrides sponsored by Glasgow High School at Sullivan Park. Not-so-scary rides 5-6 p.m., very scary 6-8 p.m. Admission is $1. Proceeds will go to the Childrens' Museum.

FRIDAY – SUNDAY

OCT. 30, 31 & NOV. 1

A Fall Conference will be held at the Glasgow Assembly of God Church at 1220 10th Street North with Pastor Jeff Johns as the special speaker. Conference times are Friday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m .; Saturday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m., 2 and 6:30 p.m .; and Sunday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. Childcare will be provided for the Sunday morning service. Lunch on Saturday is on your own.

FRIDAY – OCT. 30

Children of Action for Eastern Montana Glasgow Head Start are going Trick or Treating for the Troops, accompanied by soldiers from the 484th Military Police Co. and members of St. Marie Women's Club. To share in the project call Pam Ost at 228-2404.

SATURDAY – OCT. 31

The 24th Annual Turkey Trot at the Glasgow Civic Center. Registration from 8:30-9:30 a.m., and race at 10 a.m. Pre-registration will be on or before Oct. 29 and will cost less than it will the day of the race, even less with a non-perishable food item.

4 p.m. - Opheim Halloween Party for all community members at the OHS lunchroom.

5:30 p.m. - Thanksgiving Prayer Service at Holy Family Parish in Glentana. It begins with a soup supper and ends with the service.

WEDNESDAY – NOV. 4

6-8 p.m. - Public meeting at the Cottonwood Inn regarding questions about floods, floodplains, and flood insurance or levees.

SATURDAY – NOV. 7

9 a.m. - Opheim Jr. & Sr. classes sponsor a Bazaar and Bake Sale. More info, call 762-3213 or contact Ms. Lovelace at [email protected].

SUNDAY – NOV. 8

12:30 p.m. - Nashua American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 104 will host a Veteran's Day dinner at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church social hall. The auxiliary will furnish the main course, potatoes and drinks. All members are asked to bring a dish to share. The community is invited to attend and honor all military veterans. An update on the Northeast Veteran Memorial at Fort Peck is planned. A brief unit meeting is also planned to discuss sacking Christmas treats and making popcorn balls. Please contact Janet at 263-8103 or any Nashua Auxiliary member for more information.

VETERAN'S DAY

Glasgow American Legion & Auxiliary #41 Veterans Day program and dinner.

7-9 a.m. Free Breakfast for all veterans and current service personnel and their spouses at the VFW Hall in Glasgow. Please R.S.V.P. by calling the VFW Hall at 228-2135 by Tuesday, Nov. 10.

WEDNESDAY – THURSDAY

NOV. 18, 19

Service officers for the MT Veterans Affairs will be in Glasgow to meet with those interested in applying for benefits, at the VA Clinic from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, and in Malta on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at the Malta City Hall. If you are interested, bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214) with you. The officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only. Call l 406-265-4225.
