6-9 p.m. - State wildlife officials will host a public hearing in Malta at the Malta High School; S. 9th St. W., to discuss and take comments on a draft environmental impact statement for bison conservation and management in Montana.

“STEEL MAGNOLIAS” at Fort Peck Summer Theatre. Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 4 p.m. For individual tickets or reservations, call 526-9943.

SATURDAY – AUG. 22

Montana’s eighth annual “Fishin’ for the Cure” tournament at Rock Creek Marina at Ft. Peck Reservoir. The proceeds of all the events benefit Childhood Cancer Research. Events includes an all day fishing tournament, live auction, BBQ, balloon release, a raffle for a three day stay at the Marina Cay Resort in Big Fork at beautiful Flathead Lake, and Be Brave and Shave event, and new this year, a water trampoline. AUG. 22-23

The Assembly of God Church is putting on an “Inside Out” event this weekend, on Friday, Aug. 21, from 5:30 – 8 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Glasgow Assembly of God Church. It is open to all students entering kindergarten through fifth grade. It is free and open to the public.

2 p.m. - An Opheim Picnic in Billings at North Park Shelter #2. Everyone is invited and bring a side dish to share.

First day of school in Lustre.

THURSDAY – AUG. 27

1:30-6 p.m. - Opheim Red Cross Blood Drive. Please remember to bring your ID, drink lots of water and come out to donate.
