Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Leslie Ralph 'Les' Lloyd

Leslie Ralph "Les" Lloyd, 69, parted this world to join the Lord in peace on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at his home in Wolf Point, Mont.

He was born in Kittanning, Pa, on Oct. 10, 1945, and was raised in Allegheny Township, Pa. He received his education there until graduating from Kiski High in 1964.

Upon graduation, his first job was for Ludlum Steel Mill as a steel tech. He went on to manage and operate a service station in Natrona Heights, Pa. He continued working various jobs throughout his life, always finding time to buy and sell cars.

After meeting Harriet Richard, they wed in 1966 and had two daughters, Tammy and Lisa. The family lived in Pennsylvania until 1981, when Les made his way to Montana, following in the footsteps of his parents and his brother, Larry.

Shortly after arriving in Montana, Les met and fell for Cathy Vandall, who he affectionately called Effie. They married in February 1983, and he became a father to her four children. He and Cathy added one son, Nathan Lloyd, to their family.

Dear to his heart was spending time with family, his children and grandchildren, and faithful four-legged companion, Montana. He enjoyed pursuing antique cars, camping, hunting, fishing and loved to travel. During his travels he was an expert at meeting new people through buying and trading. He was one of "Tradio's" biggest fans. Anyone who met him knew they had found a one-of-a-kind. He showed compassion for all people, stemming from his deep faith and love of the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lyla Lloyd; his brothers, Ralph and Ron Lloyd; and numerous aunts and uncles.
