Patricia M. Tvedt

Patricia M. (Vaughn) Tvedt passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2015, in Chandler, Ariz.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, at Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel, 13738 W Camino Del Sol, Sun City West, AZ 85375. Burial follows at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

She was born on May 27, 1929, in Pine County, Minn., to Frank Jerauld and Petra (Lee) Vaughn, and was raised in Minneapolis, Minn. She attended the University of Minnesota until she met her adoring husband, Conrad, while she sang in the church choir. They were married in the base chapel at George AFB, on April 20, 1952. Together they moved to Glasgow, where they raised their family. They later moved to Great Falls, before relocating to Sun City West, Ariz.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She prayed for her family daily, encouraged them to aim high and was a great source of encouragement to others. She was an avid baseball fan; devoted to the Diamondbacks and traveled the corners of North Dakota, Tennessee and Georgia to watch her grandsons "play ball."

She was active in her church, Christian Women's Club, and volunteered with Love In Action for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad.

Survivors include children, Steven and his wife, Gwen, of Chandler, Catherine Smith of McLean, Va., and Nancy Davis of Atlanta, Ga .; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way; one sister, Pearl "Billie" Gemberling of Moscow, Idaho.

Her family is deeply grateful for the loving care provided by Highland Luxury Home and East Valley Hospice during Patricia's final days on this earth. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be directed to Trinity Bible College Scholarship Fund, 50 S 6th Ave., Ellendale, ND 58436.
