WEDNESDAY – MAY 6

6 p.m. - A DC Trip meeting at GHS in room #4. It is not too late to sign up for the 2015-16 trip to DC.

6-8 p.m. - Free Skywarn Weather Spotter Class will be held at the Senior Citizen Center in Nashua. The National Weather Service in Glasgow will cover weather safety, ways of getting weather information, and how thunderstorms form. No RSVP is needed. For those who can not attend in person, there is also an online class. There are two online modules, and you can select the option to have your information sent to the NWS after the classes have been completed at http://www.meted.ucar.edu/training_course.php?id=23.

THURSDAY – MAY 7

2:30 p.m. - Montana’s Congressman Ryan Zinke will host a town hall meeting at Farm Equipment Sales on U.S. Hwy. 2 East in Glasgow.

3 p.m. - Valley County Transportation Advisory Committee meeting will be held at the Glasgow Senior Citizen Center. The general public and anyone interested in transportation in our county is invited.


FRIDAY – MAY 8

5:30-7 p.m. - The Montana Wilderness Association will kick off the 2015 Wilderness Walks program in Glasgow at the Sean Heavey Gallery. The event provides outdoor enthusiasts an opportunity to pick up a free copy of MWA’s 2015 Wildernder and a table of eight costs $100. Proceeds for the luncheon are for the Teresa Ann Wagner Scholarship.

SUNDAY – MAY 10

11:15 a.m. - A celebration service will be held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nashua, with a concert. Please bring a can of your favorite fruit or vegetable to help the Women's Resource Center stock their food pantry. Following the worship service, a dinner will be served. Meat, buns, and beverages will be provided. Please bring a salad to share.

MONDAY – MAY 11

11 a.m. - The Northeast Montana Retired Teachers/Educators meet at the Children's Museum in Glasgow. New time and place! Lunch somewhere follows the tour. Dues are due.

7 p.m. - The GHS Spring Music Concert will be held in the GHS auditorium, featuring the concert choir and concert band.

TUESDAY – MAY 12

7 p.m. - Andrew McKean to speak at Pioneer Museum in Glasgow. See the “Aprons on Parade” display in the Lewis and Clark room during May and “A Spring Tea Party featuring a part of Joan Campbell's tea cup collection.

WEDBESDAY – MAY 13

6-9 p.m. - FWP Open House meeting to provide information on the 2016-2019 fishing regulations to be held in the meeting room at the Glasgow Job Service, 74 4th Street N. More info, call Region 6 Headquarters at 406-228-3700.

THURSDAY – MAY 14

3 p.m. - The Valley County Transit Board will meet at the Valley County Transit office (use the back door/east entrance).


SATURDAY – MAY 16

4 p.m. - Doors open and live music at 5 p.m. for 10th Annual Bonnie City Blues & Brews at the Cottonwood Inn in Glasgow. Featured are Gladys and the Undertakers, The Wench, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades. There will be micro brews, food, exclusive mugs, merchandise, raffles and wine available. Non-alcoholic beverages and complimentary transportation available upon request. More info, call 228-2222.

SUNDAY – MAY 17

2 p.m. - Whist and Pinochle at Glasgow Senior Center first and third Sundays.

MONDAY – MAY 18

7 p.m. - The 7th & 8th grade Spring Music Concert will be held in the GHS auditorium, featuring the concert choir and concert band.

7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. An Addictions Workshop will be held at FMDH in Glasgow. The presenter for the workshop will be Malcolm Horn, master addictions counselor and director of learning at Rimrock Foundation in Billings. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. in the FMDH Conference Room. Eight CEUs are available for LCSWA and LAC, but no CEUs are available for nurses unless their primary field is addictions. Cost is $15. WEDNESDAY – MAY 20

1-4 p.m. - Service officers for the Montana Veterans Affairs will be at the Glasgow VA Clinic and in Malta on Thursday, May 21, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at the Phillips County Hospital Conference Room. If you are interested in applying for benefits, please bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214) with you. Service officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only. Call 406-265-4225 if you are interested.
