FRIDAY – APRIL 10

6 p.m. - Scout Troop 850 Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser and live auction at the VFW in Glasgow.

12 noon - Nashua Senior Citizen Assoc. noon potluck and meeting. After the meeting, there will be cards and social time for those who wish to stay.

SATURDAY – APRIL 11

9 a.m. - American Legion and Auxiliary District 1 Spring meeting at the Sherman Inn located at 200 E Main Street in Wolf Point. Registration at 9 a.m., Department program at 10 a.m., a joint banquet begins at 12 noon and Legion and Auxiliary business meetings begin at 1 p.m.

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Walleyes Unlimited Banquet and Spring Craft Bazaar at the Valley Event Center in Glasgow with local and statewide vendors displaying and selling products. For booth reservations, call Sandy Maczka at 228-4660 or 263-4861.

4:30 p.m. - Banquet Raffle, Games and Silent Auction begins during the Walleyes Unlimited annual Banque

6 p.m. - Walleyes Unlimited annual Banquet at Valley Event Center – a Beef and Walleye dinner.

4 p.m. - John 'Pete' Cortez Benefit at the VFW. Silent auction tickets sold at 4 pm, chili feed at 5, and drawings at 6. Donations for silent auction items are needed. Call 228-9270.

MONDAY – APRIL 13

10 a.m. - 12 Noon - Free Early Childhood Screening at the Hinsdale School. Call 364-2314 for appointments.

6 -9 p.m. - SafeTALK Suicide Prevention class at FMDH. Space is limited to 30 participants. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. You must be age 16 or older. Email, call or text Joan Nye at 406-321-0591 or [email protected].

TUESDAY – APRIL 14

8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Free Workshop for survivors of suicide loss and professionals at FMDH. Workshop limited to 15. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Email, call or text Joan Nye at 406-321-0591 or [email protected].

WEDNESDAY – APRIL 15

6 p.m. - Washington, D.C., trip meeting at GHS in Room 4 for any sophomores or juniors (next years juniors and seniors) from Glasgow, Nashua, Opheim or Hinsdale high schools who would like to go to Washington, D.C., in March 2016. WEDNESDAY – THURSDAY

APRIL 15-16

Service officers for the MT Veterans Affairs will be visiting Glasgow and Malta to meet with veterans who are interested in applying for benefits. They will be at the Glasgow VA Clinic from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, and in Malta on Thursday, April 16, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at the Phillips County Hospital Conference Room. If you are interested in applying for benefits, bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214) with you. Service officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only. THURSDAY – APRIL 16

8:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Employee Engagement Seminar hosted by The Job Service Employers' Committee at the Cottonwood Inn in Glasgow. FRIDAY – APRIL 17

Dry Prairie deadline date for signing up for water service. A late fee of $600 will be assessed to any application for service in the Valley County Area B Project received after April 17. Call the Dry Prairie office at 787-5382 for more info.

2 p.m. - Whist and Pinochle at Glasgow Senior Center first and third Sundays.

THURSDAY – APRIL 23

6-7:30 p.m.- Annual Cuisine For the Cure 4 Fundraiser for the NE MT Relay for Life at the Glasgow Elk's Club. Cooks prepare foods from various parts of the world and share them at a night of fun. If you are interested in sharing cooking talents or have questions, call Rod at 263-8757 (after 3 p.m.) or Phyllis at 406-939-0754.

TUESDAY – APRIL 21

12 noon - The Ft. Peck Senior Citizens will have their quarterly meeting/potluck lunch at the Ft. Peck Fish Hatchery. 50/50 drawing will be done for fun: $1/1 ticket; $5/6 tickets--come and try your luck! All seniors are welcome.

APRIL 24-25

10 a.m. - 6 p.m. - The 25th Annual Makoshika Quilt Show held at the Eastern Plains Event Center in Glendive. Doors will open on Friday, April 24, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission will be $5 per person, but ages 10 and under will be free! Each day the DCAU/Gallery will serve a luncheon and entertainment during the lunch hour can be expected.
