FRIDAY – MARCH 27

2-3:30 p.m. - Dudley and the Deadbeats perform at Prairie Ridge. Public is welcome.

5-7 p.m. - Schmeckfest--Golden Jubilee, a German Festival of tasting, at the Lustre Christian High School, 294 Lustre Rd. Includes a silent auction, bake sale and program to follow. More info, go to lustrechristian.org.

SATURDAY – MARCH 28

7 a.m – 12 noon - FWP Hunters Education will be using the Valley County Rifle Pistol Club shooting range for a field day.

SUNDAY – MARCH 29

2 p.m. - An Easter Cantata, “The Last Week,” presented this Palm Sunday at The First Lutheran Church, 641 2nd Ave. N., in Glasgow. The Cantata depicts the daily events of the “Holy Week” through song. Everyone welcome.

MONDAY – MARCH 30

7 p.m. - The Zaniac, with Alex Zerbe, the final performance in the Big Sky Series, at the GHS Auditorium. Zerbe is a master of physical comedy, juggling and magic. Tickets available at the door. More info, contact Allison Nichols at 228-8255 or email [email protected].

TUESDAY – MARCH 31

10 a.m. - The Historic Water Service Agreement Signing Ceremony at the Ft. Peck Tribal Headquarters, 501 Medicine Bear Road in Poplar. Brief comments by dignitaries and then the signing of the agreement by the representatives of the Uniteed States of America, Dept. of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Dry Prairie Rural Water Authority and the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Ft Peck Indian Reservation. Everyone welcome.

EASTER SUNDAY

APRIL 5

8-9 a.m. - Easter breakfast served at the Opheim Lutheran Church. A freewill offering will be collected to help with the costs of VBS. Thrivent Financial is helping to sponsor the event. Everyone is invited to attend this breakfast.

TUESDAY – APRIL 7

5-7 p.m. - Public meeting to discuss downtown planning held at Soma-Dis Deli. Please complete the survey at http://www.planglasgow.com and plan on attending the meeting. It is important for local citizens to provide feedback throughout the survey.

SATURDAY – APRIL 11

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Local and statewide vendors display and sell products at Walleyes Unlimited Banquet and Spring Craft Bazaar at the Valley Event Center. For booth reservations, call Sandy Maczka at 228-4660 or 263-4861.

4:30 p.m. - Banquet Raffle, Games and Silent Auction begins during the Walleyes Unlimited annual Banquet and Spring Craft Bazaar at the Valley Event Center.

6 p.m. - Walleyes Unlimited annual Banquet at Valley Event Center – a Beef and Walleye dinner.

MONDAY – APRIL 13

10 a.m. - 12 Noon - Free Early Childhood Screening at the Hinsdale School. Call 364-2314 for appointments.

APRIL 15-16

Service officers for the MT Veterans Affairs will be visiting Glasgow and Malta to meet with veterans who are interested in applying for benefits. They will be at the Glasgow VA Clinic from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, and in Malta on Thursday, April 16, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at the Phillips County Hospital Conference Room. If you are interested in applying for benefits, bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214) with you. Service officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only. THURSDAY – APRIL 23

6-7:30 p.m.- Annual Cuisine For the Cure 4 Fundraiser for the NE MT Relay for Life at the Glasgow Elk's Club. Cooks prepare foods from various parts of the world and share them at a night of fun. “We've Got Talent Show” at the Nashua School gym. The event is sponsored by the Nashua Lions Club.
