Girls In Fourth As Regular Season Nears End

The Scottie girls (4-4, 6-10) occupy fourth place in District 2B before closing their regular season with home games against Poplar (0-8, 5-11) on Friday and Wolf Point (6-2, 12-4) on Saturday.

Last week it was a 58-33 home win over Harlem (1-7, 3-13) on Friday and 53-38 road loss at Plentywood (5-3, 9-7) on Saturday for coach Jon Kolstad's team.

Abbi Kolstad poured in 40 points over the weekend, 19 against Harlem and 21 at Plentywood.

Other Scotties scoring in the Harlem game were Leinie Hughes with 15, Jordan Kulczyk 8, Lexie Nixdorf 6, Khloe Krumwiede 5, Delaney Holzworth 2, Tyra Johnson 2 and Amanda Wolff 1. Tica Cliff led the Lady Wildcats with 17.

Third place was at stake against Plentywood, with both squads 4-3 going in. Glasgow outscored the Lady Cats, 21-19, in the second half but couldn't overcome their 34-17 deficit at halftime.

Also scoring for GHS were Hughes with 9, Krumwiede 4, Kulczyk 2 and Wolff 2.

Plentywood scoring: Paige Harris 16, Lizzy Gomez 12, Victoria Obergfell 12, Lindsay Wangerin 11 and Hallie Wangerin 2.

The District 2B tournament runs next Thursday through Saturday at Wolf Point.
