Darrell Keith Todd, Wapaha Sa, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at the Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point after a long battle with cancer.

A vigil service will be recited Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. and funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m., all at the Brockton Cultural Center in Brockton, followed by interment in the Riverview Cemetery in Brockton.

He was born on Feb. 9, 1954, in Frazer, Mont., to Donald K. Todd (deceased) and Marietta Blount Four Bear. He grew up in Los Angeles, Cal., in his younger years and later grew up in Brockton, graduating from Brockton High School in 1972, playing basketball for the Brockton Warriors. He worked for A & S Industries and several other Tribal jobs. He worked for the Brockton School and was a dedicated clock keeper for the Brockton Warriors.

He married Yvette Davis on Nov. 1, 1980, and later divorced in October, 1981. He had one son, Darrell K. Todd Jr., and two step-children, Raquel White Hawk and Sherwin Myrick of Poplar.

He later he married Valerie War Club in 1990 and was married to her until he passed away. They have been together for 24 years in Brockton.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Kathleen Red Eagle Blount; two brothers, Dennis Todd and Al Rodney Todd; one sister, Iva Todd; his father, Donald K. Todd; four grandmothers, Clara Blount, Alice Buck Elk, Virginia Spotted Bird and Rita Belgarde; his great-grandmother, Lucy Red Eagle Powell; two grandfathers, George Blount Sr. and Phillip Red Eagle; and one great-grandfather, Harold Red Eagle Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie Todd; one son, Darrell Todd Jr. and his wife, Lesley, of Poplar; his mother, Marietta Four Bear, of Brockton; one brother, Wayne Little Crow of Brockton; two sisters, Kayleen Headdress and her husband, Dale, and Luanne Pearl Four Bear Brown and her husband, Tony, of Poplar; his grandmother, Joyce Tootoosis, of Culbertson; five aunts, Vera Beauchamp, Ruth Todd, Arlene Standing, Pearl Four Bear and Rita Talks Different; four uncles, Dean Blount, Douglas Robert Todd, Joseph McConnell and Richard McConnell; three adopted sons, Merlino Bear, Wayan Bear and Randon Bear; two adopted daughters, Melody and Waverly Bear; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. Darrell was proud to come from the Red Eagle, Todd, Blount and McConnell families.

Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge of arrangements.
