Michael Lee Fassett

Michael Lee Fassett, 61, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, of cardiac arrest in Casper, Wyo.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Glasgow, followed by interment in the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow.

He was born on May 6, 1953, in Rolla, N.D., the son of Raymond and Mae (Olson) Fassett. He was raised in Rolla and came to Glasgow when he was 6 years old, graduating from Glasgow High School in 1972. He worked in Glasgow for Burlington Northern as a conductor.

He lived in Bismarck, Helena and Casper. He worked in hotel maintenance in Helena and Casper. He enjoyed fishing, reading, barbecuing and playing pool. He especially liked to draw and was an artist.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Penny Erickson, Phyllis Mason and Irvin Fassett.

Survivors include his sister, Betty Vegge and her husband, Mel, of Glasgow; four children, Kevin Casterline of Billings, Bridgett Peterson of Glasgow, Kayla Lohman of Choteau, and Jake Fassett of Great Falls; and three brothers, Allen "Pete" Fassett of Cut Bank, Clifford "Skip" Fassett and his wife, Roxie, of Glasgow, and Edward Johnson of Rolla, N.D.

Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge of arrangements.
