Kentucky Woman, 27, Dies In Wreck

A fatal traffic accident took place Saturday on Highway 24, near mile marker 35 in McCone County near Fort Peck. Two women were in the vehicle when the driver tried to avoid a deer in the road and lost control of the vehicle, investigators said.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt. The passenger, Samantha Conn, 27,of Morehead, Kentucky, was not and she was ejected from the vehicle. Conn was reported dead on the scene.

McCone County dispatch called and requested for assistance around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2. The Glasgow ambulance was dispatched to the scene and the Montana Highway Patrol investigated the incident.

Alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
