Time Of Change At Our Library

The Glasgow City-County Library is happy to announce that we are on track to have a new look by the end of July. Our new look will include both interior and exterior updates in specific areas of the library. While we are under transformation, we will be challenged to stay up and running while clearing out the entire children’s area and circulation area.

Quite frankly, there will be a few days where we just cannot maintain safety of our patrons and our doors will have to be closed. Most days we will be open. However, some items – books, movies and DVDs – might be temporarily moved or unavailable. We will do our best to provide all the services we can during this transition.

As we are at the mercy of our delivery and vendor schedules, we are unable at this time to predict accurately which days we will have to close. Our return book drop, e-books and website will be available during the entire transition. We have scheduled a two week hiatus of in-library summer reading programs. From July 1 through 16 we will not be hosting any programs. However, reading sheets and do-at-home activity sheets will still be distributed and collected during these two weeks. Programs will continue on July 17.

We are excited about the coming changes and look forward to providing you an improved library environment for your enjoyment.

Thank you and have a well-read day.
