The Porcupine Invitational was held this past weekend at Glasgow High School as 19 junior high teams competed in what was less than ideal weather conditions.
Glasgow was unable to clinch the top spot in either boys or girls team scores, but they still had a respectable showing nonetheless with the girls taking second overall and the boys coming in third.
On the girls side of the events, Glasgow saw Emily Kolstad take first in the 200 with a time of 30.4 seconds.
The Scotties continued to see success in the running events as Bailey Chappell took first in the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.2 seconds.
The Scottie girls relay team left the competition in the dust on the 400 relay as they posted a time of 61.2 seconds for the event, finishing 3.2 seconds ahead of second place Wolf Point.
For the boys, Ethan Hartsock and Merlin McKean took to the podium in their events. Hartsock was standing tall after winning the 400 with a time of 1:03.90.
McKean took second place in the 800 with a time of 3:02.50.
The Porcupines found themselves in the middle of the pack for both the boys and girls squads.
On the girls side, the Porcupines finished in seventh place on the day with a score of 31 points.
Taylor Laumeyer was the lone first place finisher for Nashua as she took the top spot in both shot put and discus.
Laumeyer had a mark of 29-04 in the shot put and recorded a mark of 74-04 in the discus.
On the boys side, Nashua finshed in 12th with 12 points on the day.
Gunner Greene finished second in the 100 with a time of 12.80.
