Cindy Lu (Sutherlin) Spencer, 57, of Glasgow, Mont., died from respirator and renal failure on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow.

She was born April 20, 1956, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Lowell and Dolores (Candee) Sutherlin. She lived there for the first eight years of her life. Her family moved to the Seattle area in 1964. She attended Bellevue Christian School and Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, Wash. She and her youngest daughter, Brittney George, moved to Glasgow in 2002. She worked at Prairie Ridge Village and at her most favorite job, driving bus for the Valley County Transit. She was a kind-hearted person with a great sense of humor who struggled with many challenges in her short life. She was deeply loved by her family and will be missed more than she probably ever knew.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Les and Ruby Sutherlin and Dave and Monica Candee; and her step-father, Bob Eklund.

Survivors include her mother, Dolores "Candee" Matuska and her husband, Tom, of Glasgow; her father, Lowell Sutherlin, of Kirkland; four children, Julie Mock Gutow and her husband, Todd, of Bothell, Wash., Ryland Spencer of Kirkland, Kristina Spencer Becker and her husband, Adam, of Mt. Lake Terrace, Wash., and Brittney George of Sedro Woolley, Wash .; sisters, Monica Phillips and her husband, Marty, and Lindy Gillis and her husband, Russ, all of Kirkland, and Lisa Cala and her husband, Joe, of St. Jose, Calif .; and one brother, David Eklund and his wife, Charlena, of Bothell; five grandchildren, Janae' Jrake, Emmy Lue and Callen Gutow and Brooklyn Spencer, all from Washington; and her ex-husband, Randy Spencer, of Kirkland; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who will never forget "the cute funny one."

Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 15, at 4 p.m. at the Bell Chapel in Glasgow. Interment was in Kirkland, Wash.

Bell Mortuary of Glasgow was in charge of arrangements.
