3rd Man Charged In County Drug Probe

Steven Morlock Of St. Marie Arrested In North Dakota

A third man has been arrested in connection with a recent Valley County drug investigation.

Steven Harvey Morlock, 29, of St. Marie, was arrested in Dunn County North Dakota by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office on Nov. 13, according to the Valley County Sheriff's Ofiice.

Morlock was arrested on a felony arrest warrant out of Valley County District Court stemming from the same Valley County Sheriff’s Office investigation that led to the arrests of Mark Alan Wagoner and Douglas Michael Turner.

Morlock faces a felony charge of conspiracy to commit criminal possession with Intent to distribute (marijuana), or in the alternative, criminal possession of dangerous drugs.

Acting upon information received, Valley County Sheriff’s Office Deputies said they made a traffic stop as Wagoner, Turner and Morlock were coming into Glasgow on Sept. 8.  Search warrants were served and the vehicle was seized.  All three men were initially released at the time.

The vehicle was searched and a large amount of what the deputies suspected is marijuana, hashish, and oxycodone were found, according to Chief Deputy Reed Mesman. Mesman was unavailble for further comment Tuesday.

Morlock was incarcerated on a $20,000.00 bond in North Dakota and was awaiting extradition.
