Block Of Bucks Signup Now Through Dec. 2

Volunteers Gear Up To Help Provide Clothes For Needy

The annual Block of Bucks provides clothing for needy children in Valley County. The range for children in this program is from infant to 12 years of age.

Signup at the Office of Public Assistance in Glasgow continues through Monday, Dec. 2.

Applications must be picked up at the Office of Public Assistance and returned to that office. There will be no other locations for these forms to be returned. No signups will be accepted after Dec. 2. If you have signed up and find that you will not be able to attend the shopping day, please contact the Office of Public Assistance and ask that your child’s name be removed from the list. It is important to do this so that the money can be allotted to others.

Volunteers will collect money for the Block of Bucks in Glasgow on Friday, Dec. 6. Volunteers will take the families shopping on Saturday, Dec. 7. Local merchants always help out with favorable prices for this program.

Shopping sites this year are D&G, Killion’s, Little Campers (gently used clothing) and Shopko.

Volunteers are needed. Please call today to say you will help with this worthy cause. Contact Judy Idler at 228-8632 or Janet Plant at 228-8554.

Donations may be mailed to Soroptimists of Glasgow, Box 961, Glasgow, MT 59230.
