Myrna Rae Fairclough

Myrna Rae (Wolden) Fairclough, 71, died Friday, May 10, 2013, of heart failure at her home in Glasgow, Mont.

She was born on Aug. 2, 1941, in Glasgow, the daughter of William and Inger (Christophersen) Wolden. She was raised in Glasgow and graduated from Glasgow High School in 1959. She was a “Glasgow Scottie.”

She was married to George Fairclough on Oct. 31, 1959, in Glasgow. She enjoyed shopping, car racing activities, following the kids with their many activities, and her yearly visits to Seattle. She worked for 18 years for Mountain Bell as an operator, and then owned and operated Scottie Travel Service for many years, retiring in 2009.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Miller, in 1984.

Survivors include her husband, George Fairclough of Glasgow; a son, Michael Fairclough and his wife, Julie, of Glasgow; daughters Janice Dix and her husband, Gary, of Glasgow, and Sandra “Sam” Gallagher and her husband, John, of Renton, Wash .; six grandchildren, Cody Dix, Joshua Dix, Britten Fairclough, Lexten Fairclough, Trevor Gallagher, her only granddaughter, “her special sidekick,” Tavia Fairclough; two step-grandchildren, Joe Gallagher and Jessica Gallagher; two brother-in-laws, Craig Fairclough and his wife, Deb, of Seattle, Wash., and their children, Nicole and Kramer, and Brad Fairclough of Missoula; a sister-in-law, Karen Fairclough of Missoula; her father-in-law, Arnold Fairclough of Missoula; four nieces and nephews, Heather Fairclough-Strait of Illinois, Danette Miller Borgen and her husband, Verlin, of Nashua, and their girls, Whitney, Blair and Darby; Kevin Miller and Steven Miller, both of Glasgow; and a special great-niece, “Finley Tatafu.”

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 15, at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Glasgow, followed by interment in the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow.

Bell Mortuary of Glasgow was in charge of arrangements.
