For two straight days, the Glasgow High School Gymnasium was the site of non-stop Class C basketball action. Frazer, Lustre Christian, Nashua and North Country, representing Valley County, sent their girls' and boys' teams to the hardwood against teams from the region. Saturday was the perfect day for the "Middle of Nowhere Polar Plunge" at the city of Glasgow Civic Center. The city fire department filled up an above ground pool the night before, which was further cooled with loads of ice donated by Agland Co-Op. The Glasgow Scottie wrestlers, the defending Class B State Champions, kicked off their 2021-2022 season at the highly-competitive Sidney Eagle Invitational Dec. 4-5. The Glasgow Speech and Drama team continued their domination of the northeastern Montana scene this past weekend with a Class B Speech Sweep in Medicine Lake on Dec. 4. Boy Scout Troop 861 has set up shop near the Boy Scout Food Booth at the fairgrounds to sell fresh cut Christmas trees to area residents celebrating the holiday. Tuesday marked the 80th Anniversary of the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, a day which will forever "live in infamy." Peter Jeffrey Langen passed away in Glasgow, Montana, on November 21, 2021, after many years of enduring health complications resulting from diabetes. Wayne R. Koch, 79, of Beatrice, died Thursday night, December 2, 2021 at The Monarch in Lincoln. He was born on July 13, 1942 at Odell and graduated from Odell High School in 1960.
