Instead, bring it to the Valley County Fairgrounds in Glasgow at the Boy Scout food booth near the grandstands.   • Pioneer Museum Hosts Winter Scavenger Hunt

    The Valley County Pioneer Museum in Glasgow hosted a Christmas Scavenger Hunt Dec. 28 through 30, to provide a way to get the kids out of the house and into a different environment while on holiday break. Families of all ages came out to not only find the scavenger hunt items but to also take in the history of Valley County.     In what has become a yearly service offered by Valley County Search and Rescue, Fire Department and local wrecker services since Alvie Hallock founded the ride share program in the 1980s, five volunteers took time out of celebrating New Years with their family and friends to offer rides through Glasgow, Nashua and the Fort Peck area to ensure those who are celebrating make it home safely.     On Dec. 31, at around 1:15 p.m., an officer with the Glasgow Police Department observed a vehicle driving down the wrong side of the road. The officer then observed the vehicle illegally double parked on the wrong side of the street on 4th Avenue South. When the officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, the male driver got out of the vehicle and refused to follow the officer’s commands. He then began to physically fight the officer.     On Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, Donald LeRoy Skolrud, 91, passed away peacefully at his home in Nashua, Mont. Private family services will be held this coming summer. He was born on July 11, 1931, in Nashua to Severin and Olga (Aberg) Skolrud. He was the youngest of four children. He attended all his school years at Nashua School. He graduated in 1949. The Derby will be held at the Fishing Access Site-The Dredge Cuts Trout Pond located on Highway 117.     Agricultural producers can now change election and enroll in the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage programs for the 2023 crop year, two key safety net programs offered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Producers have until March 15, 2023, to enroll in these two programs. Glasgow beat Butte 4-3 Friday night before returning to the ice Saturday morning for a 4-1 victory.
