The objectives of the week are bring about awareness of books that have been targeted for removal or restriction in libraries and schools, encourages people to engage in conversation about banned or challenged books, and drawing attention to the harms of censorship.     The Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture will once again be hosting the Saskatoon Police Pipes & Drums during the 2018 Glasgow Scottie Homecoming Festival weekend. The band will be a part of the Scottie Homecoming Parade on Friday, Sept. 28, at 2:30 p.m., the Scottie Booster Club tailgate party at GHS at 6 p.m., and performing during halftime of the Scottie vs. Cut Bank Wolves football game.   • Parenting Training Course Available For Community

    Everyone is welcome to join a six-week parenting training titled, Parenting-the Love and Logic Way, which holds a 30-year track record of success. This course is designed to help parents raise respectful and responsible kids. The training will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 2, and continue Oct. 9, 16, 23, 30, and Nov. 6, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., each evening and will be held at the Children’s Museum in Glasgow.   • North Dakota Man Charged in Death of Fort Peck Resident

    John Ersness (58), of Sawyer, N.D., made his first appearance in Justice Court this morning. He has been charged with deliberate homicide in the death of a family member, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
