Frazer Schools' Healing Week came at a needed time this year. The 8th Annual Paint Run/Walk will be held Saturday, Aug. 13. The Run/Walk is a 2.5 mile untimed event highlighted by participants being sprayed with powdered paint at various points along the course. This event is jointly sponsored by Glasgow High School Student Council and the Glasgow Recreation Department. This is a fundraiser for the Warriors on the Water Project. Another year for the NE MT Fair. There are so many things involved in this annual event. Those that are involved in 4-H, FFA, and maybe Open Class have been busy for a long time preparing for the week of the fair. Robert "Bob" Harold Heikens, 92, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in an automobile accident outside of the town of Nashua, Mont. His wife of 67 years, Helen Marie (Lauckner) Heikens, also passed away in the same incident. The world became brighter on Nov. 23,1952, when Carole and Kenneth Sonsteng welcomed their first-born Micheal Kenneth Sonsteng. Anne Marie Akre was born in Dodson, Mont., on Aug. 19, 1931, to Forrest and Gertrude Akre. Anne was one of four children in the family. She grew up primarily in Turner and Harlem, Mont., and graduated high school in Harlem. She then went to college at Northern Montana College in Havre, Mont. I must admit that the presence of our grandsons (and now our middle daughter) has kept my attention away from my yard and garden.
