The Domestic Violence Awareness Kickball Tournament raised over $2,500 for victims of domestic violence in northeast Montana, according to organizers Lacie Brown, Jenny McCabe and Shelly Ramsey. I will admit to having been a bit hasty recently when crying about my poor raspberry crop. I was doing the opposite of “counting my chickens before they hatched”. I’m not sure what you call that, but I was seriously wrong. Does anyone remember Dement Beach, which was located about 12 miles northeast of Opheim and 8 miles north of Glentana? Having spent most of my teen years in this area it is mind boggling to me that there was actually a swimming resort, or bath resort, in that area. Peter John Myxter, 66, passed away in Marysville, Wash., on Thursday, July 19, 2018, after complications from a serious stroke suffered five years earlier. He was born May 29, 1952, in Glasgow, Mont. The Glasgow Kiwanis Swim Team took 32 swimmers to the divisional swim meet in Chinook July 28 and 29. Head coach Nicole Arnold characterized the weekend as "spectacular" and noted that 27 personal best times were achieved at the meet.
