Vincent "Jim" Green, age 77, of Glasgow, Mont., passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019. Jim was born May 18, 1942, in Deer Park, Ill., to Vincent and Ellen (Snell). He attended Ottawa High School. He enlisted in the Air Force after graduation in 1960 where he was stationed in Constantine, Spain. He married Karen Gremaux in 1964 and had three daughters, Dawna, Stacy and Heidi. The Glasgow-Fort Peck Chapter of Montana Walleye's Unlimited hosted their 19th Annual Women's Fishing Tournament this past weekend July 19 and 20 at Fort Peck Reservoir. In total 53 teams came out to test their angler skills on the waters of Fort Peck and the results were significant. FOR THE COURIER In 2019 we had a total of 73 kids with a total of 131 fish caught. Scheels of Billings provided free tackle boxes filled with tackle for each participant along with a free T-shirt provided by the other sponsors. The Glasgow Thunder Kiwanis Swim Team placed fourth in a pool of 10 teams at the regular season meet in Glendive this past weekend July 20 and 21. In all the Thunder brought along a total of 25 swimmers to the meet capping off the regular season. Next week the team will send 32 swimmers to Scobey for the divisional meet. The Glasgow Reds traveled to Laurel this past weekend in a bid to triumph at the District Tournament and earn a slot at the state baseball tournament.
