Valley County recorded its first COVID-19 case last week. According to the health department, a local man in his 60s tested positive for the disease while he was outside of Valley County and is being isolated in the county he tested positive in. Valley County will be hosting its first COVID-19 drive-thru testing event on Thursday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Northeastern Montana Fairgrounds in Glasgow. The event is free and will be used to determine asymptomatic positive COVID-19 cases for surveillance purposes. Anyone that is asymptomatic, must be healthy at the time of collection, can be tested and there is no age or other demographic restrictions on getting a test. Mr. Robert James Hadley, 79, passed away Sunday evening, June 14, 2020, at his home in Butte, Mont. He was born Tuesday, April 22, 1941, in Oakland, Calif., to Ray and Jean (Simpson) Hadley.
