For the Valley County Landfill, illegal dumping is not a new thing. In fact, an article in the Courier from 1995 and an article in the Good Evening Glasgow in 2000 each address illegal dumping or the assessment of fees for dumping “above and beyond household garbage” at sanitary landfills around the county. Anita Raye Steiner, age 84, of Fort Peck, Mont., passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020, in Great Falls, Mont. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Sunday July 5, at Highland Cemetery, located in Glasgow, Mont. Anita's brother-in-law, Dave Cooper, will preside over the memorial service. Edna was born Aug. 23, 1926, in Glasgow, to James and Martha (Lawson) Aitken. She graduated 1944 from Glasgow High School. She married Gordon Brown on July 14, 1947, in Glasgow. Marvin Copenhaver, 85, of Fort Smith, Ark., passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020. He was born July 8, 1934, in Hinsdale, Mont., to Martin and Cappie Copenhaver. He was retired from Whirlpool and a U. S. Army veteran. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Barling, Ark., and a Knights of Columbus 4th Degree member. We at Valley View Home want to provide the community an update on our current restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The phases that have been implemented do not pertain to nursing homes and that our current restrictions in place are based upon State and Government restrictions and guidelines.
