TC Energy has confirmed their plans to move forward with construction of the Keystone XL pipeline in Phillips and Valley counties during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the Governor’s extension of current restrictions and closures, FMDH is extending our current facility restrictions to Friday, April 10. The Glasgow City-County Public Library is closed starting March 28, until further notice due to the continuing COVID-19 outbreak. We will continue to post information on our website and social media channels during the closure. At this point, there is no date set for the reopening plan to begin. On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Joan "RAN" into the arms of Jesus her Savior. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date due to current health mandates. Joan was born Feb. 18, 1940, to Claude and Muriel (Evans) McKean in Minneapolis, Minn. The spring bird migrations are finally occurring. We have had flocks of geese flying overhead. Last week a flock of crows had briefly graced our yard. There are lots of sparrows, juncos, and at least one pair of red polls visiting the feeders. They're singing outside the windows. They've drawn in a hawk that's patrolling the trees.
