Taryn Stebleton has served in the Valley County Clerk and Recorder’s Office for four years. In that time, she has gained experience with payroll and certifying elections while working her way up to her current role as Deputy Clerk and Recorder. Valley County Sheriff Vernon Buerkle told the Courier that a Glasgow resident was arrested on DUI charges, as well as disorderly conduct, in the early hours of March 18. At press time, the driver remains in the Valley County Detention Center. George Beckett also remains in the jail at press time on drug charges originating out of Phillips County, including possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Students at the middle and high school in Glasgow are gearing up to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco use as part of Kick Butts Day on Wednesday, March 21. I want to express my thanks to those of you that spent many hours opening and keeping open our roads during this last storm.
